Fundraising Committee

Donations to the Foundation were very good for January

  • Will continue to recognize people making donations on the Foundation website for a year.  Discussion continues on how this will happen in regards to amount donated.

The sweepstakes raffle for the Ultimate Sim Racing Rig is open until March 3rd.

  • May consider doing a social media spot with IRacing being tagged to help boost ticket sales on the Ultimate Racing Simulator Rig.

The Women on Track committee announced a raffle for an SCCA wire wheel pendant during the convention.

  • Jeff provided a QR code that can be shared at the remaining Divisional meetings to push that raffle.

  • The possibility of doing another raffle, this time with a sterling pendant, was discussed and will take place at a later time.

  • Raffle ticket sales have been very good.

  • The drawing will take place on March 26th.

Women on Track

The Convention presentation went well.

Andie Albin is working on finalizing the 31 SCCA women to be highlighted in March for Women in History.

Arnie has a lead on renting safety equipment for those women receiving scholarships that may need to have safety equipment. Tere will follow up with Kelsey Karanges and Emily Brown on this issue.

Region Development Grants

Arnie is having problems with Survey Monkey. Kristen Poole will help him with that situation.

VETMotorsports and Formula SAE

No change with VETMotorsports. Still waiting to hear from Peter Cline on their plans for 2024.

The SCCA trailer will be at Formula SAE in Michigan for both the May and June events.

  • The Carroll Smith Award will be award at one of these events and is already in the Foundation budget.

  • If any Foundation members are able to be at either of these competitions in Michigan, it’s the perfect opportunity to “talk” SCCA to the students.
